Autumn begins to whisper
In the maples of August --
The soft tinge of chartreuse
Where once was bolder green.
The light is more golden --
Summer's washed colors
Are recovering their glow
As sunlight shifts nearer the horizon.
Soon some leaves will begin to fall
As the warm breeze turns colder
And the clouds put on their silver robes --
Autumn's on the way.
